ABOUT
Outdoor pursuits have been a lifelong passion. I started guiding in my teens which sparked my career in environmental education. Blending the outdoors with science, I obtained my first merchant mariner credential in 2014 and started a "Sailing for Science" program collecting data for various not for profits conducting research in Alaska on my sailboat. Since then, I have worked on research vessels, tall ship sailing schools, and various other vessels.
Along with my time on the water, I have been an Emergency Medical Technician since 2007, and used my license to ski patrol. I have since become a wilderness medical instructor as many medical situations on a vessel require different knowledge than what is found in an urban-based course.
